Hey! We're Lillie Bean Coffee
A small online coffee business spreading joy, one bean at a time. ☕✨
Our Story
Lillie Bean Coffee started with a coffee-loving gal, her business-savvy uncle, and an idea. Lillie (lovingly known as Lillie Bean) wanted to merge her love for coffee, digital design, making fun videos, and mental health into one passion project. And with her Uncle Tommy’s help, it’s come to life!
Mental health is a cause close to our hearts. Lillie battles depression, and her sister and co-founder Evie passed away in April 2026 after a long battle with various mental illnesses, mainly Borderline Personality Disorder.
Lillie has a strong faith in living joyfully in the midst of life’s struggles. That joy is still worth embracing and spreading because of our Creator’s wonderful work.
Our mission? Put a sparkly twist on people’s daily routine, and sell delectable (and ethically sourced) coffee. We use that money to make joy more possible for more people by donating $1 for every item sold to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). NAMI is a US mental health organization that funds peer-led support groups, educational courses for families, a crisis hotline, and many more resources for those living with mental illness.
What We Stand For
Joy First
We're all about embracing joy in the midst of life's ups and downs, and our mission is to spread a little encouragement with every bean that's roasted.
Ethical Sourcing
We work with farms that treat people and the planet right. Our roasters pay well over "fair trade" so the farmers growing the beans aren't getting paid less than they deserve.
Good Coffee
You will always be able to see the roast date of your beans, and we will always sell them fresh. Our beans are hand-picked and traced with delicious notes.
Honest Business
Transparency matters. We're upfront about where our beans come from and how we operate. (See our process from start to finish on the bottom of this page!)
We believe you should know exactly what’s in your cup and how it got to you. Here’s the whole journey!
1. The beans
Our coffees come from smallholder producers across the Americas and Indonesia.
- Hazel Some More Spice: 50% Brazil, 25% Sumatra, 25% Guatemala. A darker, balanced blend with dark chocolate and spice notes.
- Forest Trail: 50% Mexico, 25% Costa Rica, 25% Guatemala. A smooth, naturally sweet medium-dark roast. The mix of coffees rotates with the seasons, but the flavor stays consistent.
- Quatemala Los Volcanes: Single-origin Guatemala from the Antigua region, grown at about 1,500 meters. Notes of hazelnut, dark chocolate, and almond.
2. The roast
When I place an order, our roaster in Louisville roasts the beans, packages them with our label the next day, and ships them to me within 24 hours of roasting.
3. To my door
The coffee reaches me in less than a week. I don’t stockpile it: as soon as a batch arrives, I start sending it out.
4. Packed by me (Lillie!)
I print each shipping label and pack every order with care, plus some freebie stickers and maybe a little surprise. Single bags go in a mailer and larger orders go in a box. Everything ships by USPS [within 4 days of your order].
5. Giving back
For every bag sold, $1 goes to NAMI. I share the total donated every month on our social media.
